Profile

The past four years, I worked at Elevated Media Partners (EMP), where I worked on a national, monthly documentary-style TV series along with occasional commercials and client work. I had a collection of responsibilities including cinematography, content development, writing, research, motion design, and editing along with occasional directing and producing overlap. During my time at EMP, we achieved the first Emmy nominations (5) in the show's history and increased our linear distribution 40%, reaching the ceiling of the business model.

During the second half of my tenure at EMP, I began freelance camera operating and G&E crewing on projects across the Valley including documentaries, commercials, corporate, and occasional music video or short films.

Prior to my time at EMP, I served as Director of Video at The State Press where I managed a team of 10 videographers, developed content strategy, and modernized our approach to video. I also introduced optional weekly training for supplemental topics which were incredibly well attended. Prior to my promotion to Director of Video, I held positions of staff videographer and motion graphics designer.

While at Arizona State University, I was approached by upper-division faculty to host a film workshop on advanced technical topics not covered at the university. What was initially planned as a one-off was so revered by attendees that I followed up with multiple other workshops covering a variety of topics. Also while in college, my senior capstone project Soft Landing won multiple Best Picture awards.

I have experience in every step of the filmmaking process and getting stuff done at the highest level. My specialty is cinematography, but I am an equally accomplished writer, director, and motion designer.

Personally, I'm a big soccer supporter (Sporting KC & Chelsea) and film fan (share your Letterboxd). I have a passion for environmentalism, like dance music, read a lot of books on science, sports, and biographies, and collect vintage cameras!
